Mosaic: Andrew Cataldo

Generate focuses on the engineering component within entrepreneurship, for example, technology intensive ventures. It’s builds electrical mechanical, materials-based, or software prototypes for NU entrepreneurs. Generate also has its own engineering entrepreneurship educational programming and mentorship.

One of Generate’s projects this past semester was HapticPack, the first modular haptic vest (patent pending). A haptic vest is a device that a user wears that provides physical stimulus and feedback from a computer, for applications that can include healthcare, sports, and gaming.

While Mosaic spans over a dozen different student organizations with their individual focus, all have common purpose of empowering and growing the entrepreneurial community at Northeastern.

Andrew is actually a DMSB business student, yet helps lead an engineering organization.  Mosaic represents the best of Northeastern:  interdisciplinary, experiential learning, as all the energy and inclusion that naturally comes from student-led.  There is nothing quite like orcas special as Mosaic at any other University, here or abroad.
